Resurrection Life Church

Resurrection Life is an independent charismatic church located in Grandville, Michigan. The senior pastor is Duane Vander Klok, a native of West Michigan who preaches at weekend services with a style that makes people laugh as they learn about God's Word. The church uses a contemporary style of praise and worship music that is relevant to the culture in which its members live.

Resurrection Life has been in Grandville since 1967 when it was led by Pastor Jim Bugg and called People's Church. When Pastor Bugg retired he felt led to hand the leadership of the church over to Pastor Duane, who had just returned from Mexico where he was a missionary for several years. Pastor Duane felt led to pastor in West Michigan, and he knew that this was the church he was to pastor. Since Pastor Duane began pastoring the church in 1984, Resurrection Life has grown from several hundred to several thousand people under his leadership.
Worship at the church is explained, “At ResLife, worshipping God together is what we do. Each service starts with a time of praise and worship and our team also ministers during the offering and times of prayer and personal ministry. We believe that through worshiping God, we as a church can grow together in unity, as we grow closer to God personally.

“Our praise and worship music is contemporary in style but also incorporates many different ethnic influences and joins the generations through the diversity of hymns and current worship favourites. We have a full rhythm section with guitars and drums, as well as a brass section and a gospel-style choir.”

Over the past few years the church has produced many live praise and worship recordings.
